Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Green-Kutch NextGen Pvt. Ltd., marking a pivotal step in fostering community-driven participation in the green hydrogen ecosystem. Aligning with the country’s Green Hydrogen Mission, Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairman of DPA Kandla, led the signing ceremony.
This strategic partnership targets empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), creating youth employment opportunities, and accelerating decarbonization efforts. DPA will spearhead the development of the “Kutch Green Hydrogen Park,” featuring plug-and-play infrastructure to enable industry partners in establishing modular green hydrogen production and storage facilities—directly supporting India’s Net Zero ambitions.
In a parallel milestone, DPA Kandla achieved full operational rollout of its Enterprise Business System (EBS) on January 1, 2026, advancing the port’s digital transformation agenda. The launch, attended by Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh, Deputy Chairman Nilabhra Dasgupta, IRS, and senior representatives from DPA, EBS, and Tech Mahindra, promises substantial reductions in business costs, enhanced supply chain visibility, and improved ease of operations for stakeholders.
These developments align with the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) 2026 for the Saurashtra-Kutch region, held January 11-12 in Rajkot. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, the event emphasized renewable energy, sustainability, and future-ready infrastructure. It facilitated structured B2B, B2G, and G2G meetings, a vendor summit, and startup recognitions, reinforcing Gujarat’s leadership in energy security, industrial competitiveness, and India’s Viksit Bharat@2047 vision.
