Indore-based Auri Grow India Ltd has launched CarbonKrishi, an advanced AI-powered platform targeting the onboarding of 100,000 farmers to produce carbon credits valued at Rs 16-50 crore annually. The initiative promotes sustainable farming practices, unlocking supplementary revenue streams for farmers while establishing a scalable, asset-light business model for the company.
CarbonKrishi leverages AI analytics, satellite imagery, and granular crop-soil data to quantify farm-level carbon sequestration with precision. Focused on high-intensity agricultural regions, the platform projects gross annual carbon credit revenues of Rs 16-50 crore, contingent on third-party verification and prevailing global carbon prices. With a 20-30% commission structure, Auri Grow anticipates generating Rs 3-10 crore in recurring revenue.
Pratik Kumar Patel, Director at Auri Grow India Ltd, commented: “CarbonKrishi empowers farmers to secure incremental income through climate-positive practices, while integrating Indian agriculture into the global carbon market via AI and data-driven insights. This creates mutual value: environmental impact for farmers and a high-margin revenue channel for our operations.”
The platform employs structured digital reporting and adheres to internationally recognized verification standards, ensuring compliance and marketability of credits. This positions Auri Grow at the forefront of agritech innovation, aligning corporate growth with India’s sustainability goals and the burgeoning demand for voluntary carbon markets.
By modernizing traditional farming through technology, CarbonKrishi exemplifies how asset-light models can drive ESG outcomes, foster rural economies, and contribute to national net-zero ambitions.
