Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla emphasized that the MSME sector and sustainability are critical to India’s future.
Speaking at the inauguration of a conference, he said that the nation’s vast population, industrial base, and innovation capacity are its greatest strengths, positioning the country to lead the world.
MSMEs: India’s biggest asset
Birla lauded the MSME sector and startups as the country’s most significant assets.
He credited the “Make in India” initiative, under the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) vision, for bringing revolutionary changes.
He noted that Indian products and innovations are now being exported globally, showcasing the visible results of these policies.
Aluminium and green growth:
The Lok Sabha Speaker also highlighted the crucial role of sustainability in India’s development. He pointed to aluminium’s versatile and recyclable nature, stating that it is central to the nation’s pursuit of clean energy and green initiatives.
He said that innovation must be the driving force for competitiveness in a rapidly changing global environment.
