The Government of India has announced the Assistance in Deploying Energy Efficient Technologies in Industries & Establishments or ADEETIE scheme.
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), will spearhead the initiative that aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced energy-efficient technologies among the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The ADEETIE scheme is designed to help MSMEs reduce their energy costs and enhance productivity by embracing more efficient practices and technologies.
MSMEs will receive multi-faceted support. It offers technical assistance, interest subsidies on loans, and policy guidance to facilitate the adoption of energy-efficient investments. The move is also a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable industrial future.
The national roll-out event featured several key highlights, including the launch of the dedicated ADEETIE web portal, and a comprehensive scheme brochure.
Furthermore, the event recognized and felicitated pioneering MSMEs that have already successfully adopted energy-efficient technologies, serving as an inspiration for others.
The scheme is closely aligned with India’s broader national and international environmental commitments. ADEETIE supports India’s pledge under the Paris Agreement to reduce the emissions intensity of its GDP by 45% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2070.
