The booklet is a comprehensive resource designed to help the automotive industry navigate the increasingly complex landscape of worldwide emissions regulations. This year's edition focuses exclusively on light-duty vehicles, including passenger cars, and covers current, historical, and upcoming requirements across major global markets. The 2025/2026 guide draws on PHINIA’s extensive engineering expertise to provide guidance on new emissions standards, including rules for on-board diagnostics (OBD), emissions monitoring, and standards for reference fuels. The coverage includes key regions such as the European Union, the United States, Brazil, Japan, China, South Korea, and India. The booklet continues a commitment initiated by Delphi in 1993, now carried forward by PHINIA, to keep the market informed on evolving fuel and emissions regulations—a legacy spanning over 30 years. The newly released 2025 Global Emission Standards Booklet for light-duty vehicles is available alongside the 2024 edition, which focused on heavy-duty and off-road vehicles.
